Doing Well in the IELTS Listening Task

IELTS Listening is an important part of the IELTS test, there are many ways to prepare for this part of the IELTS exam. Cassettes and CDs of many practice games on the commercial market. While all useful to a certain extent, is the only thing you can be sure that none of them will listen to take the IELTS test you.

The good news is that the best forms of practice are available as free IELTS listening, or at least easily and inexpensively. They are radio, television and movies!

If you have access to an English-language radio or TV  as often as possible to hear. The advantages are numerous.

- You get the rhythm of spoken English phrases into your ear

- You get to know better how native speakers speak English words

- Familiar with a variety of accents and individual ways of speaking

- You begin to hear word patterns and notice how English sentences are combined

- You start learning the new vocabulary, to hear it in context

- Only the sound of spoken English, most importantly can be used by everyone to receive

 radio and television programs in English  give you a good exposure, as the native language . also radio and TV news to give you great scenery for several voices, non-academic environment section helpful for the IELTS listening test, often with a mock radio show. Hearing up to four different people speaking the same incident from different personal perspectives in different acoustic situations and in a variety of accents (including second language) is exactly the kind of training you need good performance in this part of the race, some candidates, the most difficult .

Watching the English, Australian, American and other films in English - in any format - is also very helpful if the exposure, how to speak "real people" in English. As with all languages, it is not the same as the English classroom.

If you spend much time in traffic, turn the radio on a news station or talk in English.
